Antonio Rivero, director regional de Ventas para Latinoamérica en Manhattan Associates, empresa especializada en cadena de suministro y comercio omnicanal, menciona que en México el crecimiento del comercio electrónico ha sido constante y que tiene un gran futuro.

Por ejemplo, el hecho de lo que significa el dinero en efectivo para la sociedad mexicana, en la que menos del 50% de la población está bancarizada por desconfianza hacia las instituciones financieras, así como para evitar pagar impuestos.
Por otro lado, la desconfianza hacia el comercio electrónico, recae en la inseguridad que surge debido a los delitos y fraudes electrónicos que se cometen a través de sitios web al pagar con tarjetas de débito y crédito.
