Y esta misma tendencia se observa en escala mundial, particularmente en lo que se refiere al aprovechamiento de OpenStack, una iniciativa donde colabora un gran número de desarrolladores y expertos en cómputo cloud para impulsar el crecimiento y la evolución de las nubes públicas y privadas.
Cabe mencionar que OpenStack recibe contribuciones de empresas como Red Hat, Google, OpenStack Foundation y la NASA, entre otras más que suman alrededor de 200.
