Esta cooperación México-Italia, en la que se trabajará en proyectos específicos de alto nivel en materia científica y tecnológica espacial; como siguiente fase, se enfocará a desarrollar las estrategias de financiamiento, innovación y desarrollo para los mismos, que puedan incluir a empresas italianas en soluciones para cristalizar proyectos conjuntos con las entidades mexicanas».
Ambas partes recordaron la firma de la Declaración Conjunta relativa a una alianza espacial en aquel junio de 2015, y refrendaron su voluntad manifiesta de cooperar en temas como son: la industria aeroespacial, desarrollo de sistemas de radares, tecnología satelital y de telecomunicaciones e intercambios académicos, en beneficio de los intereses mutuos de ambas naciones.
