¿Cómo es el proceso de impresión?
El desarrollo de este proyecto se basa en la impresión en tercera dimensión de un modelo de segunda dimensión como resonancias magnéticas, tomografías o cualquier otro estudio de imagenología relacionada. “Nosotros recibimos la tomografía de cada paciente. Por ejemplo, si yo tengo un tumor en la aorta, que es uno de los casos que tenemos ejemplificados, nosotros como empresa recibimos esa tomografía y la imprimimos en 3D para que el médico pueda ver exactamente el sitio y adherencia del tumor”, comentó Sebastián Hernández para la Agencia Informativa Conacyt.
De acuerdo con el especialista y CEO de 3Médica, existen ocasiones en que el médico se percata de la magnitud de la patología hasta que abre al paciente y esto implica un mayor riesgo. “Básicamente lo que queremos lograr es que no haya tantas complicaciones en una intervención quirúrgica, ya que en México hay hasta 67 mil al año por causa de un mal diagnóstico o de eventos inesperados durante la operación”, explicó.
