Durante un evento celebrado en las instalaciones del Punto México Conectado Ecatepec en el Estado de México, Javier Lizárraga Galindo, Coordinador de la Sociedad de la Información y el Conocimiento de la SCT, entregó kits “Hogar Conectado”, a un grupo de mujeres beneficiarias del programa Prospera, que contiene un decodificador digital, una antena, un teclado y un mouse, todo compatible con las televisiones del programa de Transición a la Televisión Digital Terrestre (TDT).
Cada decodificador tiene contenido educativo almacenado precargado y 5 GB de internet que mensualmente serán recargados para uso y consumo de los contenidos del programa Hogar Conectado, durante los seis meses que dura el piloto; con ello las beneficiarias simularán un cibercafé en sus casas y los miembros de la familia podrán navegar en internet.
Con este programa de inclusión digital, las beneficiarias de Prospera podrán conocer ofertas de empleo, mercado para sus productos, apoyar a sus hijos con las tareas escolares y acceder a servicios gubernamentales en línea, todo sin necesidad de desplazarse a grandes distancias y sin que ello represente dejar de lado sus actividades en el hogar o costos adicionales para las familias.
El contenido almacenado fue aprobado por un comité especializado en diferentes materias y su uso será parte del monitoreo del piloto que tendrá una duración de seis meses, para posteriormente desarrollar una estrategia de carácter nacional.
