Con el objetivo de evaluar la apropiación de internet y las tecnologías de información y comunicación (TIC) en la cotidianidad y su contribución al mejoramiento de las condiciones de vida de las personas, las secretarías de la Función Pública (SFP), de Comunicaciones y Transportes (SCT) y Prospera de la Secretaría de Desarrollo Social (SEDESOL), sumaron esfuerzos para diseñar el programa piloto Hogar Conectado, atendiendo los lineamientos de la Estrategia Digital Nacional (EDN) que el Gobierno de la República implementa para construir un México Próspero.
Durante un evento celebrado en las instalaciones del Punto México Conectado Ecatepec en el Estado de México, Javier Lizárraga Galindo, Coordinador de la Sociedad de la Información y el Conocimiento de la SCT, entregó kits “Hogar Conectado”, a un grupo de mujeres beneficiarias del programa Prospera, que contiene un decodificador digital, una antena, un teclado y un mouse, todo compatible con las televisiones del programa de Transición a la Televisión Digital Terrestre (TDT).
Cada decodificador tiene contenido educativo almacenado precargado y 5 GB de internet que mensualmente serán recargados para uso y consumo de los contenidos del programa Hogar Conectado, durante los seis meses que dura el piloto; con ello las beneficiarias simularán un cibercafé en sus casas y los miembros de la familia podrán navegar en internet.
Con este programa de inclusión digital, las beneficiarias de Prospera podrán conocer ofertas de empleo, mercado para sus productos, apoyar a sus hijos con las tareas escolares y acceder a servicios gubernamentales en línea, todo sin necesidad de desplazarse a grandes distancias y sin que ello represente dejar de lado sus actividades en el hogar o costos adicionales para las familias.
El contenido almacenado fue aprobado por un comité especializado en diferentes materias y su uso será parte del monitoreo del piloto que tendrá una duración de seis meses, para posteriormente desarrollar una estrategia de carácter nacional.
El grupo de mujeres que participa en el piloto es el mismo con el cual se trabajó durante el 2017 para la concreción de otro proyecto de Inclusión Digital, y cuya clausura coincidió con el lanzamiento de Hogar Conectado.
El proyecto realizado el año pasado, permitió a este grupo de beneficiarias de Prospera ser capacitadas digitalmente y asesoradas en finanzas personales; con estas herramientas de inclusión digital, ahora podrán aprovechar su conocimiento en TIC desde sus hogares a través de la plataforma Hogar Conectado.
